Disappointed...

When to help my VP take down the Montage exhibition just now at Suntec.
We spent about 1 hours to remove all the stuff along the walkway at level 2.
There were only 2 of us doing the whole job.

And what happen to the rest???
argh... ... I just don't want to say.
It was such a disappointment from the rest of the committee members.
Not a single one from those still around came to help.

Neither did they reply to the email posted.
(except for bean)

haiz...
I don't want to tell them off le.
I'm so tired telling them off in my emails.
Sometimes,
I very much want to tell them to reflect on themselves on their commitments in the committee.

I'm so disappointed...

When You Believe...

Loved this song.
Especially the Hebrew children part.

[Miriam]
Many nights we've prayed
with no proof anyone could hear
In our hearts a hopeful song
We barely understood
Now we are not afraid
Although we know
there's much to fear
We were moving mountains
Long before we ever knew we could

There can be miracles
When you believe
Though hope is frail
It's hard to kill
Who knows what miracles
You can achieve
When you believe
Somehow you will
You will when you believe

[Tzipporah]
In this time of fear
When prayer so often proved in vain
Hope seemed like the summer birds
Too swiftly flown away
Yet now I'm standing here
With heart so full I can't explain
Seeking faith and speaking words
I never thought I'd say

[Miriam and Tzipporah]
There can be miracles when you believe
Though hope is frail
It's hard to kill
Who knows what miracles
You can achieve
When you believe
Somehow you will
You will when you believe...

[Hebrew Children]
A-shi-ra la-do-nai ki ga-oh ga-ah
(I will sing to the Lord, for he has triumphed gloriously)
A-shi-ra la-do-nai ki ga-oh ga-ah
(I will sing to the Lord, for he has triumphed gloriously)
Mi-cha-mo-cha ba-elim adonai
(Who is like You, oh Lord, among the celestial)
Mi-ka-mo-cha ne-dar- ba-ko-desh
(Who is like You, majestic in holiness)
Na-chi-tah v'-chas-d'-cha am zu ga-al-ta
(In Your love, You lead the people You redeemed)
Na-chi-tah v'-chas-d'-cha am zu ga-al-ta
(In Your love, You lead the people You redeemed)
A-shi-ra, a-shi-ra, a-shi-ra...
(I will sing, I will sing, I will sing)

[Hebrews]
There can be miracles
When you believe
Though hope is frail
It's hard to kill
Who knows what miracles

You can achieve
When you believe
Somehow you will
Now you will
You will when you believe

[Miriam and Tzipporah]
You will when you believe

This is funny

Was surfing Merf's blog and he introduced this jap website.
Out of curiosity, I clicked and waited.
Here is the link.

As the website is in Japanese, you must read the synopsis here first:

How does the small arrow on your computer monitor work when we move themouse?
Haven't you ever wondered how it works?
Now, through the miracle of high technology, we can see how it is done.
With the aid of a screen magnifying lens, the mechanism becomes apparent.
Click on the link below and you will find out.

The image may take a minute or two to download and when it appears, slowly move your mouse over the light gray circle and you will see how the magic works.
Follow this link and find out the truth and how satisfying it
is to KNOW.

Remember to do the following:
1. Switch on your speakers
2. Move the mouse all over your screen before moving it over the light gray circle
3. Left-click your mouse

Have fun....

Something wrong with zhabors @ YIH

I seriously think that there is something wrong with the zha bors at YIH.
The female toilet next to DMC is always so dirty.
Dirty with toilet papers all over the floor
Dirty with tea leaves all over the basin
Dirty with urine on the toilet bowl

It makes me wonder how they urine in the cubicles.
It's those sitting type and I dun see why there are puddle of urine on the toilet seats???
Unless they got problem with their urinal tract and their peeping hole is much higher than others??

Pissed.

Macro first try using reverse mount

Digging up shots taken some time ago.
Played with my 50mm reverse mounted to take macro.
Due to very short focusing distance, most of the shots taken are oof.
Manage to have 2 "better" ones from the series.
Will try again some other time.
Too bad I forget my settings le.

The fruit of some plant. (Looks like rambutan though.)

感想

一个人在DMC里做工很寂寞。
Fifi

Congrads to SAC CHOIR!!!!

Here's an extract from Channelnewsaisa's website:

School choir bags two gold medals at international competition
By Teresa Tang, Channel NewsAsia Posted: 13 June 2007 2058 hrs

SINGAPORE: St. Anthony's Canossian Secondary School choir has returned to Singapore with two gold medals from the prestigious International Festival of Song in Prague. As the only Asian entrant out of 127 choirs from around the world, the troupe sang their way to second position overall. "The best part probably was that we learnt a lot of new things, like learning to accommodate one another... tolerate one another, and at the same time we worked [towards] and achieved a common goal," said Liau Kai Xin, Choir Member, St. Anthony's Cannosian Secondary School. The girls’ parents and teachers agree that winning was great, but the journey to victory was even better. "In education values, they really learned how to focus, how to strive for their own goals, so that is something I am very happy about," said Taw Sio Ling, Head of Co-Curricular Activities, St. Anthony's Cannosian Secondary School. "They performed in very difficult circumstances, they learned to cope with the stress of competition... and they've come through. I think that will stand them in good stead in life, later on," said Melanie Martens, Principal, St. Anthony's Cannosian Secondary School. - CNA/yy

Go SAC Choir go!!!

Tribute to National Stadium

This is a tribute to the National Stadium...
Whom stood for many celebrations, sporting events and glory.

Went to national stadium to shoot with gerald, jiexiang, fifi, patrick, nicholas and few other friends.

The stadium source of life.

The old sticky running track.

The field from where I saw that score board.

One of the mightly gurdians.

The shotput pit aimed far and wide...

Another gurdian at Gate 3.

The old feeling of the stadium...

Even the users enjoy relaxing here.

The stand where the important people sat.

And saw the sea of Singaporeans all around them.

Who are these speacial seats for I asked myself...

Which even had special row numberings on the floor.

Tried to looked for clue under them...

But the nice sunset was all that I witnessed.

Couldn't help but to stay and watch a while more.

Eventually, it all ended nicely.

Montage is FINALLY OVER!!!!

After planning so long for this "grand" event which marks the highest peak as a committee of NUSPS, Montage 2007 Seminar has finally ended.
There wasn't happiness.
There wasn't a single cheer from anyone.
Not even hugging or high fives.
Only a sense of relieve.

It has long come to my attention that my committee is doing Montage for the sake of doing it.
They think that just because Montage have been running for 8 years, the committee must keep it running no matter how dreadful it's going to be for them.

I really feel that my committee is very irresponsible.
I don't see the reason why they made plans to go for internships overseas when they have been working on this Montage planning since November 2006.
It's so... argh!!!!!
They are just finding excuses to run away.
One of them was even worst.
Disappear right after exams.
Another one went home and came back with a job.

The period after exam was crucial.
Yet, only half of the committee was left to continue the work.
Stressed...
With each weekend getting nearer, everyone have to share workload.
I was working on all the events - competition, judging, seminar, exhibition.

Competition -> Email winners, help at the submission station for youth category, coordinate the exhibited entries.
Judging -> Hosted the judging for the whole day without knowing what I'm suppose to say while entertaining ppl, design certificates.
Seminar -> Coordinate with our client service executive in Suntec, plan the moving-in, picking up stuffs, ensuring that things go well, ensure that all things are brought to Suntec.

Rather exhausted doing so many people's job.

At then end of the seminar, we had our committee and group photos taken.
Everyone looked so serious with that relieved look in their face.
Not even a single informal shot was taken.
There was no fun after the seminar.
Everyone packed, ate "lunch" in the evening at the reception area and went their own ways.
We were left with 5 committee members back to school to help unload the things back to DMC.
What a committee they are.
To think that once the seminar was over they are free for their own activities.
I didn't say that they can't go after the seminar
But at least they should very well know that they need to help bring back the stuff to DMC.
I was "working" with Jiexiang and the alumni to plan for a pizza party after we finish unloading the things.
But... What did we have?
5 people with one van enjoying happily at Prata Palace at Clementi.
What a sad thing to hear from...

It's so obvious how my committee treat Montage 2007.
