Driving numéro 6

Had my 6th driving class yesterday.
Did my first parallel parking.
Legs very tired.
Neck tired from turning back and forth.
Knocked down 2 poles.
One in front and 1 at the back.
Rather difficult to start.
After a few turns, kinda get used to it.
But still have to know how much of the steering wheel to turn.

Moving in:
1. Full lock on the left, reverse.
2. Straighten wheel.
3. Ful lock to the right.
4. Straighten wheel.
5. Move forward a bit.

Moving out:
1. Move forward somemore.
2. One round to the left, reverse.
3. Forward, full lock to the right.
4. Move out slowly and look out for traffic.
5. Straighten and move out somemore.
6. Full lock to the left and move onto the main road.
7. Resume straight ahead.

Did this for quite a number of times and the 1 1/2 hr session passed rather fast.
The instructor says that learning parking is good for road judgement on how muvch to turn the steering wheel when moving on the road.
Have to perfect this before I can learn the perpendicular parking.

Driving number 7 coming soon.

to be continued...

Wanna watch movies...

Hmmm...
Saw the advertisment for this movie yesterday while flipping thru CNA:

And here's what the movies is about:
"Shafiq Rasul, Asif Iqbal and Ruhel Ahmed grew up in a typical British suburb. In August 2001, Asif traveled with his friends to Pakistan to get married. They took a side trip to Afghanistan to give aid with other volunteers, but got drawn into the US war on terror. The men were eventually taken into US custody at Guantnamo Bay in Cuba. During their incarceration, all three are interrogated, tortured, and accused of countless offences. After over two years at Guantnamo, the Tipton Three are taken back to England, and interrogated in London by the Anti-Terrorist squad at Paddington Green station. The next day they are released without charge. "
It's only 95 minutes.

Garfield2 looks fun to watch too.
Now, i'm waiting for the movie on gymmnastics to come out.

According to section ###, sub-section ###, para-phrase dunno what...

I hereby declare myself as the President, Vice-president, Secretary, Treasurer, Digital Media Centre Boss and not forgetting my own post, Assistant Secretary. With no oppositions against the announced positions. It shall be declared as a walkover.

Secretary has gone back to malaysia, truely asia, for his press work.
Mr. $$$ has gone back to KL to relax. Singapore too stressful for him. Too much $$$ to handle.
DMC boss now doing internship, so I'm handling the DMC''s time chit for the friends of DMC.
But then, I hate to walk up and down YIH cos have to climb so many steps up then up the hill to reach the multimedia lab.

UWHC vs PLOYCLINIC

I was down with cough since last monday...
And then came flu after a few days.

As predicted that the flu will come
I went to see the doctor at NUS's wellness centre on tuesday since I wasn't working.
It was only mild cough that day.
So, saw the doctor and she gave me cough tablets instead of syrup cos it's sweet.
In all, I only got 1 prescription for seeing the doctor on that day.

But the tablets din help at all.
Went for Kbox session on wednesday and had burger and chips.
My throat really hurt after that.
Thursday went out with fifi to popular to get assessment books for tutition.
Went back home, had dinner and slept after that.
Was that bad.

Finally, on sat I went to see the doctor at Ployclinic.
Quite a long wait.
The doctor was slow in between patients.
Went in, told the doctor that i had cough and flu, and came out.
Less than 5 minues.
haha...
I got more medicine from the ployclinic visit.
Cough syrup, flu tablets, sore throat "sweet" and Vitamin C tablets.

I think I prefer cough syrup to pills.
and i think i'm getting better.

MONTAGE 2006 - Behind the Seen Seminar

Yeh!!!!
Montage seminar is finally over...
All my stress for the seminar are gone...

Thinking back...
The whole seminar wasn't up to my expectation.
The morning's schedule was screwed up totally.
The support team (a.k.a sia kang team) were not here on time.
The emcee came only at about 10.30am when she was suppose to be there at suntec at 8.00am for the first rehearsal @ 8.30am.
We managed to have time for one full GOH walk-in from where he will park his car.
And then a few run of walking towards the door to perfect the timing.
Then came the silly prize winners, who some of them came after noon when they were told to come at 11.00 for a briefing.
What to do???? Dun go on stage to get prize lor.

Soon... The audience came and started to fill up the theatre.
Sometimes, the crowd was rather difficult to control.
Cannot blame the helpers, cos they are inexperienced.
Good thing that the door closed on time for the GOH to walk-in in time with the emcee's speech.
Things went well from the start of the seminar.
Though Eddie's talk ended too early.
Some cock up with the sponsor's side cos some din want to sit in for 2 hours.
The unpredicted early end to eddie's talk din give us enough time to react and call the sponsors down on time.
Noise made but they managed to go up and received the prize from the GOH.
The rest went on well.
Exhibition area opening was okay but too few people we think.

My friend msg me at the end of the seminar and told me that it was a job well done.
Yah... During the seminar itself.
But other than that wasn't to my expectations.
Maybe that I was juz a noob.
Not very experienced coordinating such a big event.
Overall, it was a very full filling and eye opening experience for me.
To have coordinate such a huge event at suntec with help of my fellow committee memners.

Dinner at YIH function room... buffect spread
Yes... what a place to have dinner after a not so successful day.
